Learning How to Tango

Talking Tango

Why Tango over other online mattresses?

From its unique two comfort level build, to its “Keep Cool” gel memory foam layers, there are many reasons the Tango Mattress rises above its competitors, but the one we hear most often from customers is far less technical: It’s just more comfortable!

We use premium materials to ensure utmost softness, support and satisfaction in our mattresses. Plus, we deliver them right to your door so that you can put sleepless nights to rest. Tango is the right answer for a great night’s sleep.

How Does Tango’s two comfort level system work?
We’ve strategically layered our mattresses so that each side has a completely unique feel. One side is plush and the other is firm, while both sides have a “Keep Cool” gel memory foam layer and share a stabilizing support core for maximum comfort and sustainability. All you have to do is flip it over for the sleeping experience you desire.

Where is the Tango made?
Completely made in America. Our factories are located in Chicago, Illinois.

Is there a trial period after I buy my new Tango?
Yes there is! We offer a 120-night trial period post-purchase. This means you have 120 nights to try it out and decide if it’s right for you. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied, we’ll pick it up from your home and completely reimburse you.

How much does shipping cost?
Nothing!

How do I decide which side is best for me?
That’s up to you! We’ve equipped the Tango with the best option in cushion firm mattresses or plush mattresses. We recommend you sleep a few nights on each side before deciding. The beauty of the Tango is you get to keep both sides – so there’s no pressure.

Can I switch the side of the mattress at a later time?
Absolutely. With a stabilizing Inner Core dividing the alternate sides of the mattress, the Tango really is two mattresses in one. You can flip the mattress as many times as you’d like!

How long will the Tango last?
While the natural lifespan of most mattresses is seven to eight years, we confidently guarantee you ten!

Materials & Construction

How is the Tango made?

The Tango is made up of five layers, each serving a distinct purpose. The body of the mattress is formed in a 4-inch Inner Core stabilizing foam. This offers a strong base for the dual sides to be able to sustain their individualized feels. The next layer outward is made up of a thick supportive foam and manipulated at varied firmnesses to hold one of two distinct mattress feels on either side. This layer provides the comfort for the plush and firm side. At the surface of both sides of the mattress is our Keep Cool gel memory foam which conforms and adapts to each individual’s body for premium pressure relief. Finally, a temperature regulating cover featuring phase change technology rests on the surface to keep you cool throughout the night.

Where do your materials come from?
All materials are sourced in America for a mattress made entirely in America.

What sizes does the Tango come in?

The Tango comes in all standard mattress sizes – Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King.

How much does the Tango weigh?

Mattress weight varies by size selected. The range shifts from approximately 45lbs for the Twin to 95lbs for the California King.

Preparing to Tango

How quickly can I set up my Tango Mattress?

Setting up your Tango will take about half an hour, leaving you the rest of the night to enjoy your purchase.

How do I set up my Tango Mattress?

Bring the box into the room where you would like to set up your new Tango Mattress. Place the rolled mattress on your base. This can be a foundation, platform, bed frame with bunkie board, slats or other. Unwrap the plastic and slowly the mattress will begin to take shape. Note it will take 24 hours for the mattress to come to its natural shape and up to 48 hours to fully settle into its permanent structure. While there is no danger of damage in resting on the mattress sooner, we recommend only selecting your side after 48 hours.

Does the Tango require a particular base or foundation?

We recommend a solid surface for the Tango, as with any mattress. A standard foundation will suffice; however, any base with coils may adjust the feeling of your Tango Mattress. We recommend a platform bed, metal bed frame with a Bunkie Board (flat board resting over the base) or well-constructed slat base. If opting for slats, make sure the slats aren’t too far apart (no more than 3 inches) and that they are not warped.

How do I keep my Tango Mattress clean?

We recommend a breathable mattress protector to keep the Tango clean.

Safety & Certifications

Are flame retardants used on the mattress?
The Tango complies with 16 CFR Part 1633 – a standard to guarantee a non-flammable mattress with the insistence on a burn test being conducted. Comprised of foam materials which are CertiPUR-US certified, only non-toxic retardants are used in the manufacturing of your new Tango Mattress.

Is the Tango made with allergens?

No allergens are used in the manufacturing of the Tango Mattress.

Are your materials certified safe?

Yes. We only work with foam materials that are CertiPUR-US certified safe. This certification guarantees that your Tango is made without Ozone depleters; PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants; mercury, lead, and other heavy metals; formaldehyde; or phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Additionally, the materials used in creating the Tango contain Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions to maintain ideal indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
